I bought a salvage plane! 12/21/2005

I came across a great deal. Someone was selling a dismantled 1975 Skybolt. He'd purchased it for a retirement rebuild project, but lost interest. The price was a steal, so I went and hired a 26ft U-Haul truck and headed down to south Houston.
The seller mentioned that he'd had many calls from his classified ad' at trade-a- plane, and that one guy was desparate for a set of Skybolt wings, so he passed me on his phone number in case I was interested in parting with them. I am half ways through my wing build anyways. So I decided to call the guy who lives in Mississipi. To cut a long story short, the guy drove across to Texas and bought them - for a very good price too. So basically, I've landed myself half an airplane for next to nothing :-)
I will soon be having a go at building the wings. So I will need to extend my workshop to accomodate a 24 ft workbench. Luckily, I have a kind of car-port at the end of my shop, so all I have to do is pour some concrete...
